The question of who the next SEC chair will be is interesting, but there’s no race involved

In an article with the bizarre title As Miller Drops Out, Race for S.E.C. Chief Shifts, Ben Protess and Susanne Craig manage to employ the awful Wall St. versus Main St. cliché in a way that’s even worse than usual:

Her banking résumé, too, may prove problematic given the anger of many in Washington and Main Street over Wall Street’s role in the 2008 financial crisis.
