It almost seems silly to write down a guacamole recipe.  Nevertheless, here’s ours.  It has a low ratio of avocado to everything else, so consequently has a salsa-y texture rather than a thick creamyness.


  • 2 avocados
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 2 limes
  • 1 fistful fresh cilantro
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small bell pepper
  • salt and pepper as needed

Then we throw everything into the food processor and blend it all up.

We serve with refried beans and tortilla chips with cheese.  This makes enough for two dinners for the two of us.
